My Place In the World

Picture for writing "My Place In the World"

The Reflection of Society

The Reflection of Society

Art shows meany different peoples thoughts, meaning, and creativety. People use art to show what their emotion, and creativety through the art. Many pieces of art can be seen in a different way to everyone's opinion and thinking. Art can also give the people something to relate to in their life and give them happiness or great depression. The way of art can also describe the past, present and future of certain places and settings.
My Place in the World
If I would place myself into the photo of "Rapheals School of Athens" I would be represented as a scientist/geographer becuase they can explore the world. The Scientist get to come up with new ideas of the planets and galaxy. To me I would find these the most interesting people of the painting becuase they get the two important topics to research and try to change our people and world for the future.

Overcoming Your Fears

Overcoming Fear

Fear cries to a young man and his lonely life. Panicked about being on his own in a diminutive world.
Ready to rise above and defeat his fear and silent life.
He holds his head high and walks on.

Alchemist Theme
During "The Alchemist" their written, were many challenging
and confusing themes but overcoming fear just seemed to stand out from the others. Santiago the main character in the book, conquers the theme of fear by gaining confidence in himself and by standing up to any challenge. On page 105-108, shows how Santiago stands up against the Alchemist under a piercing scimitar positioned on his forehead. Santiago has gained and learned so much through his journey, because he has meet new and intellegent people along the way. The past young sheperd boy is now a present desert traveler. He seecks dreams that are extroardinary and now he has succeded just one more.

My Passion

Passion is a great thing to have as a trait to ones destiny, but its a very complex trait to master and skill. But I think one of the finest traits that describes me as a person is passion. Passion is a trait that helps you put forth and move forward to your goal or destiny. It is a very powerful trait to have becuase it helps you set your mind on a goal or dream and focus on it till you succeed further. I put forth ideas and challenges to help myself strive for that exellence, to my set goal. Passion can be used many ways like in school, sports, arts, and many other daily hobbies. Passion is really when you fall deeply in love with a skill, and you acheive great heights by trying to conquer that goal. For example Micheal Jordan had a dream to be a future basketball star, but he didn't even make his varsity high school team. But he ended up to be the best basketball player in the world. So that really shows heart, confidence, and passion. So when you dont achieve your goal the first time doesn't mean you quit, you take it an learn from it. That's so you develop skills to learn more than the ordinary, and expand to attain further with your objective and destiny. So never hold back on a dream, but always push forward.

Hope, Dreams, and Destiny

“The people who come here have a lot of money to spend so they can travel’ his father said, ‘Amongst us, the only ones that travel are the shepherds.’‘Well then I’ll be a shepherd.’” (Coelho 9) Santiago was a young boy who desperately wanted to escape his small and closed in world. He dreamt of journeying the world to see sites and contain grateful memories. Travelling appealed to the young boy because he met new people and made many friends in every town he travelled to. The boy had a family of religious believers and they wanted Santiago to become a young priest. Santiago refused to be a priest and wanted to be a shepherd boy so he could travel the mountainous lands of Andalusia. Santiago’s travels as a shepherd were he was interrupted with a recurring dream about a treasure in the deep parts of the Egyptian Desert. The boy’s destiny was to journey across the desert and face steps and challenges of the Egyptian Land and hills. Santiago successfully journeys through to his destiny by possessing intelligent views, staying faithful to himself and always maintaining a wise outlook. On his journey, Santiago gains intelligence and knowledge in a variety of ways. Santiago was tired and sore throughout the journey and now he had many challenges he had succeed with only his intelligence and his heart. Melchizedek was a huge part toward Santiago’s life because Melchizedek he showed the boys intelligence and smarts to overcome lack or confidence and succeed his rightful destiny. Melchizedek showed Santiago the rightful and knowledgeable facts and knowledge to know how to succeed his rightful destiny. Another man travelling in the deep scorching desert was an Englishman who wanted to discover the language of the world. “The boy reached through to the Soul of the World, and saw that it was a part of Soul of God. And he saw that the Soul of God was his own soul. And that he, a boy, could perform miracles.” (145) Santiago was strong; he could now listen to his soul and heart so he too can understand the language of the world and his own destiny. This quote represents a huge part to Santiago’s journey and destiny for him to understand the Language of the World and to finally listen to his own heart. The intelligence Santiago gained on his journey was critical to helping him achieve his destiny though he had to also find the strength to overcome the obstacles that he encountered along the way.Santiago’s journey was filled with many obstacles and his faith was one step away from helping him find and to be closer to obtaining his own heart and his destiny. Santiago had met a lot of people along the way to help him succeed in achieving his destiny, but he must now learn the true side of Santiago’s faith. An Alchemist is a young traveler who looks and searches for a very religious Muslim jewel. The alchemist Santiago met in the story, has journeyed across the desert to the boy and now he is trying to help Santiago’s discovers faith in himself, in order to travel to the end of his path and to see his true destiny. “Here he was, face-to-face with his enemy, but was no need to be concerned about dying- the Soul of the World awaited him, and he would soon be part of it. And, tomorrow, his enemy would also be part of that Soul. The stranger continued to hold the sword at the boy’s forehead. “Why did you read the flight of the birds?” (105) I chose this specific quote because it’s showing how the alchemist is pressuring the boy to show faith in himself to go through anything is his own path to achieve his goal. Faith was a useful trait in Santiago’s journey because without it he would give up with himself and not have pressed himself as hard as he did Santiago’s wise ways was what helped him and the alchemist journey to the end of the desert to identify Santiago’s rightful destiny. “Where your treasure is, there also will be your heart,” the alchemist had told him. But his heart was speaking of other things. With pride, it told the story of a shepherd who had left his flock to follow a dream he had on two different occasions.” (151 -152) This quote explains how Santiago became wise and thoughtful because he had taken in the alchemist’s thoughts and sayings and used them to help him through his exhilarating journey to his rightful destiny and future.Santiago goes through and achieves his destiny by using his intelligence, faith and keeping a wise outlook on his own destiny. Intelligence helped Santiago succeed on achieving his destiny by thinking through problems and situations. He journeyed across the sandy heat and finally conquered the trait of faith. Santiago used his faithful quality to always go on and push forward and never give up. The young traveler has had his last steps across the desert and now he has found his last grateful trait. It was wisdom that finally finished Santiago’s true end of his path to his destiny. Hope was a strong thing and it helps many people achieve steps and obstacles in life, so never give on a dream or idea you have for your future and life. So when you face humps, bumps, and obstacles in life get past them and don’t let anything in your own way.
